The Lady Lions  faced another tough match against the New Rochelle College Blue Angels in upstate New York on Thursday, Sept. 29th.

While they lost the game, the team showed continued growth, team unity and improvement from previous games. The Lady Lions played an impressive game but the Blue Angels solid offense and defense prevailed.

“They [the Blue Angels] were put together. They knew how to work together. They were intimidating, even in their warm-up. They had really strong hitters,” said Jenna Smith ('20), middle blocker/right-side hitter for the Lady Lions.

Kristen White, a parent of one of  TKC's players stated, “There were signs of a great team emerging! Overall, their serving game and serve receive were strong.”

The Blue Angels were intimidating but the Lady Lions remained unfazed throughout the game. The team member's nerves transformed into reliance on each other and words of motivation on the court as they each pushed through the match. The very young team continues to thrive under pressure, learning from each opponent they face. Nevertheless, the latest loss resulted in the team's stats dropping to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in the HVIAC athletic conference. The Blue Angels pulled a 3-0 at home and  5-8 overall for the 2016 volleyball season.
