After four weeks of fried famine, free Chick-Fil-A sandwiches will once again be provided to attendees of The King’s College’s weekly Public Reading of Scripture (PRS) starting Monday, Feb. 20.

“The money is coming from a Bonhoeffer alumnus who is generously funding the food for PRS,” said Director of Spiritual Life Rafael Oliveira in a press release. “He is committed to funding Chick-Fil-A for every PRS until the end of the semester.”

The alumnus wished to remain anonymous.

Oliveria decided to take the opportunity to bring free Chick-Fil-A back to PRS because “it will go a long way in ameliorating the general mood on campus and give students something extra to look forward to every week.”

The Grace and Mercy Foundation grant that was reallocated as part of the school’s spring semester budget cuts is not being used for the lunches, as the anonymous donation completely covers the cost.

“I’m very excited and grateful that in a season of want,” Oliveria said, “we’re getting supplied with a lot of good things on campus if we’re willing to look for them.”
