They said they were going to Williamsburg. At first, I just wanted a ride home since I live in the area. They ended up being really cool, so I joined them. It was a lot of fun.”

Lunar New Year Festivities Liven Up Lower Manhattan

Hundreds gathered to ring in Lunar New Year with the annual parade in Chinatown and the Lower East Side of Manhattan on February 9. Entertainment at the annual parade includes traditional lion dances, floats, and the sound of hundreds of confetti cannons going off. Revelers who sought out the source of the noise were met with thousands of colorful confetti pieces, streamers, and parachutes falling from the sky.

Holiday Tree Lightings Brighten Up The City

‘Tis the season of studying for finals while trying to enjoy the holidays in NYC. Holiday on the Hudson will be on December 7, followed by the Astoria Park Tree Lighting on December 8, and Washington Square Park’s ceremony wraps up the season on December 11. Attending these lightings can sometimes mean enduring cold temperatures, but multiple King’s students have chosen to make it a part of their college experience at some point.
