New Yorkers Remember 9/11 From Six Feet Apart: A Photo Essay
Thousands gathered at the 9/11 Memorial on Friday to pay tribute to the lives of family, friends and fellow Americans that died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001.
After nearly 20 years, terrorism remains one of the top public policy priorities for Americans, second only to their concern of the spread of infectious disease since the emergence of COVID-19.
Wearing masks, New Yorker’s silently surrounded the memorial at “ground zero” while a group of firemen, policemen and military proudly sang “God Bless America,” as captured below by King’s sophomore Alex Kemsley.
