Virtual Reality Takes the Runway at NYFW Spring 2017

On February 14, the third floor of the Samsung 837 flagship space in the Meatpacking District was filled with visitors experiencing Fashion Week like they had never seen it before, in virtual reality.

Samsung teamed up with European fashion production firm FTL Moda to host "Dreaming of Italy," the first all-digital fashion week presentation.

FTL Moda provided a 360 experience to invite-only attendees in New York City. Guests put on a Samsung Gear VR headset presented by Oculus that took them to Milan, Italy where they could interact with the designs. The event featured Israeli bridal designer Limor Ben Yosef, German designer Sonja Tafelmeier, and Premal Badiani, designer of Poshaac, the modern Indian couture lifestyle brand.
